Mitch Bohannon and Worshiptogether.com have just put together a new resource about using the cut capo in worship settings. On the DVD it outlines finger placement, chords, and how to play 10 popular songs using this method. The package is running about $30 right now, and if anyone picks it up, let us know what you think…

$30 seems steep for a video on using the cut capo. I would guess there’s a youtube video out there explaining how to use it.
Here’s a tip that won’t be on the video. If you don’t have a cut capo, you can take your Kyser Capo and put it on backward so the part that’s usually on the neck is on the string and the part thats usually on the strings is on the neck. Bam! Ghetto cut capo!

I was able to get into the cut capo and have found it to be very good for opening up a whole set of voicing possibilities. WGG helped clue me into the cut capo, these posts here have been great. This tool really helps with rearranging and breathing life into old hyms etc…I have posted some cut capo songs of hymns and original P&W up on Godtube.com, Youtube.com or LoveToBeCathollic.com; just search my name, Bill Goyette.

I was able to get into the cut capo and have found it to be very good for opening up a whole set of voicing possibilities. WGG helped clue me into the cut capo, these posts here have been great. Gerry- I acually “Cut” my capo a few months back because the tip stuck down a little and would hinder me from playing a few chords, mainly the A chord. If someone wanted to they could cut their capo to any length with a hack saw and smooth it out with a bench grinder. I would do anyone’s free if you need me to. contact me through Gerry Leslie. I also use a Kyser capo.
