Welcome to the worshipguitarguy blog!

Hey, just want to send a big welcome to anyone who finds this blog!  My name is Gerry and I’ve spent the past several years playing electric guitar in worship bands.  Through that time, a ton of people have asked me a ton of questions about playing electric, especially in a corporate worship setting.  Even in my own learning, I’ve found very few resources out there that really connected with me for discussing worship electric guitar.  So I had the inspiration to start my own!

A quick disclaimer though…  I’m far from being an amazing electric guitarist, like Stu G., Phil Keaggy, Lincoln Brewster, or SCC.  I’m just a run of the mill guy playing in his local church, who’s been fortunate to pick up a little knowledge along the way.  I’m no expert, but I’m hoping this place can become something that generates discussion about tone, equipment, setup, technique, and how play in a worship environment.  While this site will focus more on electrics, I’ll make sure to have a few friends stop by to discuss things for acoustic guitarists.

Feel free to fire off any questions or comments, and let’s have some fun!
